Miscellaneous notes and correspondence of this Minneapolis newspaperman, the collector of a famous group of photographs. The papers include items relating to a commemorative medal for Henry Clay (1842); a 47-page manuscript with biographical and historical data to accompany a picture of the Anoka (Minn.) Methodist Sunday School (undated); unattributed documents pertaining to historic sites in Minnesota; a list of lot owners on William A. Cheever's plat of St. Anthony (1848); a letter about General Alfred Sully (1916); and a letter (1923) from Fred W. Ames giving a history of the St. Paul Guards.
